The Board of Directors of The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. (TJCIS) has announced the addition of four new board members. They are: Reynolds Bell Jr., C. Steven Duncker, John W. Phillips and Carl E. Hamilton.

Bell has been involved in the Thoroughbred industry for more than 25 years and managed the family-owned Mill Ridge Farm for 15 years before starting Reynolds Bell Jr. Thoroughbred Services in 1992.

He is a past president of the Thoroughbred Club of America; vice president of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association; and secretary of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.

Duncker, a managing director at the investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs, has been a Thoroughbred owner since he was 17 years old and has campaigned stakes winners Middlesex Drive and Danville. He serves on the boards of trustees of the New York Racing Association, TOBA and The Jockey Club Foundation and is a member of The Jockey Club.

Phillips operates Darby Dan Farm in Lexington, Kentucky and the Phillips Racing Partnership. He is a member of The Jockey Club and serves as a board member for the Gluck Equine Research Center, the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation and on the executive committee of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association board as well as the Communications Committee of the NTRA.

He has campaigned the Eclipse Award winning Soaring Softly and the multiple stakes winner Memories of Silver, among others.

Carl E. Hamilton, who has served as president of TJCIS since 1994, has been named chairman of TJCIS, replacing Allan Dragone, who recently retired. Hamilton will now serve as chairman and president of the company.

Hamilton joined TJCIS in 1990 as the Vice President of the Consulting Division. Previously, he owned a software consulting firm which developed farm management software packages and provided consulting services to Thoroughbred organizations.

He has overseen the steady expansion of TJCIS in recent years, including the development and launch of the Internet-based equineline.com in the past year.

This service offers individual reports such as pedigrees and race records as well as an innovative portfolio service, which helps owners, breeders and trainers manage their equine interests through real-time information updates.
