TJCIS Announces Price Change For equineline.com Portfolio Service

Reaching out to give small-scale owners, breeders and trainers the opportunity to incorporate the power of the Internet into the daily management of their racing and breeding operations, The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. today announced a new pricing structure for its equineline.com Portfolio Service.

The monthly minimum subscription fee of $24.95 for a 10-horse portfolio has been replaced by a flat monthly fee of $2.49 per horse. According to TJCIS president Carl Hamilton, this change makes the Portfolio Service a cost effective management tool for all owners, breeders and trainers regardless of the size of their stable.

“Although many of our customers have more than 10 horses in their portfolio, there were others with fewer horses who wanted to take advantage of this unique service,” Hamilton said. “The new per-horse pricing structure allows them to do that.”

Launched in December 2000, the equineline.com Portfolio Service allows owners, breeders and trainers of both Thoroughbreds and American Quarter Horses to create a portfolio of their racing and breeding stock and have their portfolio updated with real-time information. These updates include automated notification of entries, results and workouts for both horses in training and progeny of broodmares; immediate update of broodmare produce records; real-time nicking reports; and customizable sire entry and result scanning.

The service, which new subscribers receive free for their first month, also features an Interactive Condition Book which allows subscribers to search for specific race conditions at any number of Thoroughbred tracks; a secure messaging system designed to enhance communication among owners, breeders and trainers; and the ability to update and add photos to the catalogue-style pedigrees of horses in a portfolio.

A free virtual tour is available at www.equineline.com. Additional information about equineline.com can be obtained by sending e-mail to equineline@jockeyclub.com; or by calling TJCIS at (800) 333-1778 or (859) 224-2800.
