Tordjman Named President of TJC Media Ventures | |
TJC Media Ventures announced today the appointment of Dan Tordjman as president. Tordjman had served as vice president since 2024, overseeing record growth in viewership and engagement with America’s Best Racing (ABR) content. Since 2014, Tordjman has played an integral role at ABR, a multimedia fan-development initiative created by The Jockey Club in 2012. An accomplished media and marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience, Tordjman has overseen digital strategy, content development, and industry partnerships. His leadership has been key in expanding ABR’s digital footprint and amplifying the sport’s reach through innovative content across social and digital platforms. Prior to his role as vice president, Tordjman served as manager of Partnerships & Sponsorships, building and nurturing strategic relationships with racetracks, ADWs, and other industry stakeholders. Tordjman’s efforts include launching ABR’s digital livestreams, garnering millions of views during major events such as the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup. Tordjman’s team also created and developed the multiple award-winning influencer program “A Stake in Stardom,” which has drawn industrywide accolades and continues to garner mass attention from younger generations through the help of Griffin Johnson as a part owner of Sandman. Tordjman graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, beginning a career as a television reporter before following his passion for racing. In 2012, he launched a website dedicated to writing and handicapping, later contributing to respected publications such as Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred, The Saratoga Special, and ultimately ABR. “With Dan’s strong background in digital strategy and industry partnerships, he is continuing to garner attention through the implementation of programs like A Stake in Stardom that advance our sport and its fanbase, ushering in a new generation of horse racing enthusiasts,” said James L. Gagliano, president and COO, The Jockey Club, and chair of ABR. “We are very pleased with the growing success of America’s Best Racing, and I know that much of that success is because of Dan’s devotion to promoting racing.” The Jockey Club, founded in 1894 and dedicated to the improvement of Thoroughbred breeding and racing, is the breed registry for Thoroughbreds in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. A New York non-profit organization governed by a board of stewards, The Jockey Club has offices in New York and Kentucky. Profits from the commercial subsidiaries of The Jockey Club support investments in initiatives to improve the health, safety, and welfare of Thoroughbreds and to market and grow the sport. Among its many supported initiatives are America’s Best Racing (americasbestracing.net), OwnerView (ownerview.com), and the Thoroughbred Incentive Program (tjctip.com).
