Erica Marshall Promoted to Controller

Laura Barillaro, executive vice president and chief financial officer of The Jockey Club, announced today that Erica Marshall has been promoted to controller of The Jockey Club.

As controller, Marshall will be responsible for overall financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations for The Jockey Club and its affiliated companies.

“Erica has adeptly handled a wide variety of accounting responsibilities since we hired her, and she has developed a keen understanding of the Thoroughbred industry and the role The Jockey Club plays in it,” said Barillaro. “She is well suited to take on the increased responsibilities as controller.”

Marshall, 29, joined The Jockey Club as a staff accountant in April 2011 and was promoted to senior accountant in July 2013.

She attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in management technology. Marshall also received a Master of Business Administration degree from Molloy College.
