Round Table Transcripts and Video Replay now Available on jockeyclub.com

Official transcripts, a video replay, and the slide presentations from Sunday’s 66th annual Round Table Conference on Matters Pertaining to Racing are now available at jockeyclub.com.

The conference, held Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., featured the findings and consequent recommendations from McKinsey & Company based on its latest analysis of the Thoroughbred racing industry in the United States, a presentation by Simon Bazalgette, the group chief executive of The Jockey Club (U.K.), and an announcement of The Jockey Club’s latest industry initiatives to improve the industry by Chairman Stuart S. Janney III.

James L. Gagliano, president and chief operating officer of The Jockey Club, and Ian D. Highet, secretary-treasurer of The Jockey Club, previewed McKinsey’s report with a situational analysis of Thoroughbred racing.

Laura Barillaro, executive vice president and chief financial officer of The Jockey Club, delivered the activities of The Jockey Club report.
 
The Jockey Club Round Table Conference was first held on July 1, 1953, in The Jockey Club office in New York City. The following year, it was moved to Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where it has been held every August since.
