The Jockey Club today announced the election of three new Members: longtime owner-breeders Thomas R. Capehart; C. Steven Duncker; and Peter F. Karches.

Capehart, a partner in Valley Creek Farm in Valley Center, California, serves as director and executive vice president of the Oak Tree Racing Association. The insurance executive is active in numerous professional and charitable organizations.

Duncker, managing director for Goldman Sachs, is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association and the New York Racing Association.

Karches, former president and chief operating officer of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter’s Institutional Securities and Investment Banking Group, also serves on the Board of Trustees for the New York Racing Association.
