Nicking Reports Added to equineline.com Portfolio Service

Comprehensive nicking reports for individual broodmares have been added to the menu of continuously updated information now available to Portfolio subscribers of equineline.com, the new equine management service of The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. (TJCIS).

Derived from the popular reports available on an as-needed basis through Equine LineŽ 2000, the enhanced Portfolio Service nicking reports are easily sorted and viewed by a number of criteria and, according to TJCIS president Carl Hamilton, can be a valuable tool in assessing a mating’s potential for success.

“The inclusion of enhanced nicking reports adds even more value to the optional Broodmare Package contained within our Portfolio Service by equipping mare owners with the statistical information necessary to make more informed breeding decisions,” he said. “And the fact that the reports are updated as race results enter the database can prove especially useful when examining young broodmare sires whose runners are just hitting the track.”

equineline.com’s Portfolio Service allows subscribers who have purchased the Broodmare Package to track performance of a mare’s progeny via continually-updated produce records. In addition to the nicking reports, the package includes tabulated race records, best race class and auction history for all of a mare’s foals, as well as notification of entries, results and workouts.

equineline.com’s Portfolio Service is an innovative new Internet service that helps owners and breeders manage their equine investments more effectively. The system centralizes many of the services provided by The Jockey Club family of companies, with access to Equine LineŽ 2000 and the Registry’s Jockey Club InteractiveTM simplified by the use of a universal ID number.

The service also features an Interactive Condition Book which lets users search for specific race conditions at tracks throughout the country; and a secure messaging system designed to facilitate communication among owners, breeders, trainers and farm personnel.
