Video Replay of Third Welfare and Safety
of the Racehorse Summit Now Available

Video files for each public session at the third Welfare and Safety of the Racehorse Summit, held June 28 and 29 at Keeneland, are now available for download from grayson-jockeyclub.org and jockeyclub.com.

“While the live video stream of the summit received approximately 900 hits from locations around the globe, people who weren’t able to watch it live now have the opportunity to view any or all of the proceedings at their convenience,” said Edward L. Bowen, president of Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation.

The summit, which was underwritten by Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation and The Jockey Club, concluded with the development of objectives in four areas — Racing Equipment and Safety, Racetrack Environment and Training Practices, Licensing and Continuing Education, and Transitioning Thoroughbreds to Second Careers — and discussion of implementation strategies. Additional information, including slides and work group objectives, are available at grayson-jockeyclub.org/summitDisplay.asp.
