TrackMaster on Facebook Adds Free Handicapping Selections Application

TrackMaster, a leading provider of electronic handicapping and past performance information, today announced the release of a new application on TrackMaster on Facebook, which was created recently to allow the company to interact with fans on a more personal level.

The TrackMaster Free Fan Data application offers fans using Facebook free daily selections from tracks throughout North America for Thoroughbred and harness racing. In addition, a “Thoroughbred Best Bets” report will be available when runners that completely match a pre-defined slate of handicapping criteria are identified.

“TrackMaster was one of the first racing-related companies on the Internet back in the mid-’90s, and we continue to lead with our innovative technology and product offerings,” said David Siegel, TrackMaster president. “Particularly in the last 12 months, the Facebook demographic has grown from its college-age user roots to include users in older age ranges. More and more equine enthusiasts are taking advantage of this social networking site, and we would be remiss in not custom tailoring offerings for racing fans that have engaged and will engage in such use.”

TrackMaster encourages everyone to become a “TrackMaster Fan” by locating its page on Facebook and discovering more about the TrackMaster Free Fan Data application and other content designed for racing fans on Facebook.

TrackMaster, a wholly owned subsidiary of Equibase Company LLC, provides a full range of handicapping products for the three major racing breeds — Thoroughbred, American Quarter Horse and Standardbred. Equibase Company LLC is a partnership between The Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Racing Associations of North America and serves as the Thoroughbred industry’s official database for racing information.
