The AQHA and TrackMaster Announce Speed and Class Ratings Agreement

TrackMaster, a leading provider of electronic handicapping information for the Thoroughbred, American Quarter Horse and Standardbred industries, has signed an agreement with American Quarter Horse Association to provide exclusive Speed and Class Ratings for use by AQHA in support of American Quarter Horse racing.

“We’ve worked with TrackMaster for many years and we’re very excited to expand our relationship for the benefit of all those who handicap and wager on American Quarter Horse races,” said Denis Blake, Field Editor for The American Quarter Horse Racing Journal.

“The Quarter Horse Speed and Class Ratings make it easy for fans to compare horses and see very quickly who is moving up or down in class,” said Jim Vanderbosch, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for TrackMaster. “This is especially helpful to those who play simulcast races and may not be as familiar with those venues as they are with their home track.

“Working with AQHA to promote and educate the fans about these ratings is something we are very excited about,” added Vanderbosch. “We’ve been calculating Speed and Class Ratings for over 10 years, and believe they’re the best in the industry. Now, with a focus on American Quarter Horse races, we are confident they will help American Quarter Horse fans in their daily handicapping.”

Under terms of the agreement, the Speed and Class Ratings will be made available for all printed track programs and included in all past performance-based TrackMaster, Equibase and TVG products.

TrackMaster, a wholly owned subsidiary of Equibase Company LLC, is the only company to provide a full range of handicapping products for the three major racing breeds - Thoroughbred, American Quarter Horse and Standardbred. Equibase Company LLC is a partnership between The Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Racing Associations of North America (TRA) and serves as the Thoroughbred industry's official database for racing information and statistics.
