equineline.com Unveils Enhanced Catalogue Style Pedigree

The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc., (TJCIS) today unveiled on equineline.com an Enhanced Catalogue Style Pedigree that includes the best Equibase® Speed Figure and/or Timeform Rating earned by the Thoroughbreds listed in the pedigree.

The Enhanced Catalogue Style Pedigree with Equibase Speed Figures and Timeform Ratings provides a three-generation pedigree, sire summary, race and produce records for up to four dams, and a race record summary for the subject horse. Each horse’s best Equibase Speed Figure or Timeform Rating, where available, appears next to the horse’s name.

“The integration of the top Equibase Speed Figure or Timeform Rating for horses listed in the Enhanced Catalogue Style Pedigree provides a new measure of the quality of a Thoroughbred’s pedigree,” said Gary Falter, vice president of operations for TJCIS. “These measures provide additional insight for the subject horse, its siblings and other relatives, and further perspective for any owner or breeder worldwide seeking information on which to base important decisions.”

The Equibase Speed Figure is the world’s most widely distributed speed figure and is published in more than 24 million official past performance programs sold in North America annually. The figure is a numerical assessment of the quality of a horse’s final time in a North American Thoroughbred race. Equibase Speed Figures are available for all North American Thoroughbred races since 1991.

Timeform Ratings are a considered assessment of the merit of a horse on form and are maintained for all racing in Britain and Ireland, as well as other major international races. The Enhanced Catalogue Style Pedigree with Equibase Speed Figures and Timeform Ratings includes Timeform Ratings since the year 2000.

Available for $15 through the “equineline Reports” section of equineline.com, the Enhanced Catalogue Style Pedigree with Equibase Speed Figures and Timeform Ratings is accessible as Product 40EF in both an enhanced text format and in a new PDF format. Samples of this and all other information reports are also available on the site.
