ABR launches series of digital videos featuring former ESPN SportsCenter anchor Bram Weinstein

America’s Best Racing (ABR), a multi-media fan development and awareness-building platform created and funded by The Jockey Club, today launched the first of a seven-part series of digital video vignettes featuring former ESPN SportsCenter anchor and Thoroughbred racing aficionado Bram Weinstein promoting the tagline, “It’s not for anyone. It’s for everyone.”

Episode 1 can be viewed here: http://youtu.be/ioFKUKFYSOU.

In addition to Weinstein, the seven-part series of digital video vignettes features jockey Aaron Gryder in several of the videos, as well as a cameo by E! reality television star Caitlyn Jenner. The series was filmed at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, a venue that has welcomed anyone and everyone since 1937 when Bing Crosby opened the doors to the racetrack where the “turf meets the surf,” which is also affectionately known as “the playground to the stars.”

Bram Weinstein grew up in Silver Spring, Md., and has been going to the races since he can remember. He covered the Preakness six times from the late 1990s to early 2000s.

Weinstein’s broadcasting career started on-air in small-town Hastings, Neb. He returned to Washington, D.C., where he covered the Washington Redskins as a radio beat reporter for eight years and was the host of “The Bram Weinstein Show” on two sports radio stations.

Weinstein was with ESPN from 2008 until May of this year, where he was seen regularly on their flagship program, SportsCenter. Weinstein is a regular contributor to America’s Best Racing, providing his unique gambling take on major Thoroughbred races as well as hosting “2 Guys & a Classic,” a digital video series focused on the nationally televised Breeders’ Cup Classic prep races throughout the summer and fall leading up to the Breeders’ Cup Classic on October 31.
