The Jockey Club to Provide Live Video Stream
of Sunday's Round Table Conference

The Jockey Club will provide a live video stream of the Round Table Conference on Matters Pertaining to Racing on Sunday, August 14. The two-hour conference at the Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., will be streamed at jockeyclub.com beginning at 10 a.m. EDT.

The major focus of the conference is the recently completed economic study of the Thoroughbred industry entitled, “Driving Sustainable Growth for Thoroughbred Racing and Breeding.” The study was conducted by the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company in conjunction with The Jockey Club.

The program will also include updates on the activities of The Jockey Club, the Equine Injury Database and the Thoroughbred Safety Committee.

A replay of the video stream, as well as a PowerPoint presentation and other selected materials from the economic study, will be available within one hour of the conclusion of the conference, and an official transcript of the proceedings will be available on The Jockey Club website Wednesday.

The Jockey Club Round Table Conference was first held on July 1, 1953, in The Jockey Club office in New York City. The following year, it was moved to Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where it has been held every August since.
